Double Smoked Cheddar Cheese And Bacon Sandwich

A delicious twist on an old classic using smoked cheddar and bacon.

Equipment

  • Frying Pan

Ingredients
  

  • 4 Slices Good quality bread
  • 6-8 Slices Double smoked cheddar cheese
  • 4 Slice Smoked bacon
  • 3 tablespoon Butter or vegetable oil

Instructions
 

  • Heat frying pan on medium high heat.
  • Cook bacon slices to desired doneness.
  • Butter (or oil) 2 slices of bread & place in the hot frying pan butter side down. Add enough cheese slices to cover each slice of bread then add 2 slices of bacon to each piece.
  • Butter the remaining bread and place on top of the pieces in the frying pan.
  • Flip each sandwich when the bottom is crisp and golden brown. Continue cooking until the remaining side is golden brown.
  • Remove from the pan. Slice diagonally and serve with rhubarb chutney or ketchup.
