TANGY VINAIGRETTE RECIPE

This tangy vinaigrette recipe is on constant rotation in my salad dressing game. It’s a step up from the classic oil and vinegar vinaigrette and has a bit of a kick to it thanks to the chili pepper flakes and a bit of Tabasco but it’s easy to adjust the heat level to your taste.

It’s delicious on every salad I’ve tried it on so far but it’s also lovely drizzled on grilled salmon (or any fish) and shrimp and especially my Salmon, Spinach, And Avocado Salad. And as a bonus, it’s easy and quick to make and will stay fresh in the fridge for a couple of weeks. I know you’ll love this salad dressing recipe.

What Ingredients Do I Need

You only need a few simple ingredients that you probably already have on hand.

  • Extra virgin olive oil – I recommend using the best quality you can afford as it will be prominent in the flavor.
  • White wine vinegar
  • Honey – A light or medium honey will be best.
  • Orange juice – Pulp-free is best for this recipe.
  • Chili flakes
  • Tobasco
  • Thyme – fresh or dried

How Do You Make This Vinaigrette

It comes together very quickly. Combine all the ingredients in a jar or other container with a lid and shake until the dressing has emulsified.

Storage Tips

If you have leftovers the vinaigrette can be stored in the fridge in the same jar that you mixed it in. I like to bring it to room temperature before I add it to salads or food. To do so, just take it out of the fridge about an hour before you’re ready to serve.

Try this vinaigrette on my easy Salmon, Spinach And Avocado Salad.
